Located in San Luis Obispo—about 100 miles north of Santa Barbara in central California—Robbins Family Farm produces four great extra virgin olive oils (small in size, so best for finishing dishes), but their 18-year balsamic vinegar, imported from Modena, is really the star of the show.

We love this balsamic vinegar so much that we’re not even making a commission on this recommendation. (As mentioned, what minimal revenue we make at LTBB is based on a percentage of sales from our vendors. That said, we would never recommend a product we didn’t wholeheartedly believe in, and this one we just had
to promote!)

Its thick texture and rich flavor border on the qualities of a traditional balsamic vinegar, yet at the affordable price point you won’t feel guilty about using it in abundance! Really, a product not to be missed.

Robbie Robbins from RFF just wrote me to say someone who sat next to me on a plane 2 months ago had just bought his balsamic vinegar on my recommendation! Happy to see people seek out the good stuff!
