Masseria Maida Black OlivesPrint This Page
These small, pungent olives from Campania—reminiscent of kalamata but with a
more delicate flavor—are great to pop in your mouth as a snack, or toss in a pasta puttanesca for that extra kick. Note that, due to their small size, it’s not easy to remove the flesh from the pit, so eat with care if they’re mixed into a big dish. Totally worth it though! Plus, we definitely don’t mind using the fragrant extra virgin olive oil and vinegar mix they come packed in as a marinade for freshly grilled veggies, like zucchini or eggplant.
